Zahid Shiwani is a VP Mortgage Advisor at Barakah Mortgage, dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve homeownership through ethical, Sharia-compliant financing solutions. Drawing on extensive experience in residential lending, Zahid combines deep product knowledge with a calm, consultative approach to guide clients from the first conversation through closing.

Zahid graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His engineering background gives him a strong foundation in analytics, problem-solving, and attention to detail—skills he now applies to structuring thoughtful, customized mortgage strategies for his clients.

At Barakah Mortgage, Zahid focuses on understanding each client’s full financial picture and long-term goals before recommending a path forward. He is known for taking the time to educate clients, clearly explaining options, numbers, and potential trade-offs so they can make confident, informed decisions. Whether working with first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, or investors, Zahid’s priority is always to align financing with both financial and faith-based values.

Colleagues and clients value Zahid for his responsiveness, transparency, and commitment to delivering a smooth, on-time closing experience in partnership with real estate professionals and other advisors.

Outside of work, Zahid is actively involved in his community and, above all, is a proud father to his son—whom he looks forward to seeing every day after work. He enjoys spending time with family, continuing his education in finance and personal development, and giving back through educational workshops on home financing and financial literacy.
